USCFL ANIMATION GREATS MEMORIAL TRADING CARDS
This
page honors the animators,
writers, directors, music composers, voice actors and actresses whose
talents through the years have helped shape the animated cartoons we
all enjoy and love, whether they're shown in theaters, on television,
on DVDs, or over the Internet. Windsor McCay is the man credited for
inventing the animated cartoon as we know it. Pioneers like Walt
Disney, along with Max and Dave Fleischer popularized and defined the
Hollywood animated cartoon. People like Chuck Jones, Bill
Hanna, Joe Barbera, Tex Avery, Jay Ward, and others like them have
carried on this tradition, and helped cartoons make the transition to
television. Voice actors and actresses like Mel Blanc, Don Messick,
Daws Butler, and Mae Questel have helped bring these cartoons to life.
Today, people like Mike Judge, Matt Groening, Seth McFarlane,
Craig McCracken, and John Lassister are taking animation to a new
dimension. This series of trading cards honors some of the greats of
animation who are no longer with us.
